Love to see what you’re watching, reading, etc.! We weren’t thrilled with the first episode of Rings either, but it has gotten better. I gave up on The Overstory after the second or third story. If you’re reading it a second time, perhaps I gave up too soon? :/
Keep going! You'll see what he's doing once you get through the first part with all the biographical chapters. Those stories are actually my favorite part of the book now that I've read the whole thing and have the perspective the second half gives to those stories. It's a brilliant narrative move.
