Everyone Wants to be Honest, No One Wants to Cry in Front of You
Being who we are, for better or worse
Whenever someone posts something like, “Sorry I’ve been away,” someone comments “You don’t have to apologize,” and then someone else writes a post saying how they never read posts that start with “Sorry I’ve been away,” but I just want to say that what I’m saying is not “Sorry that I’ve been away from this page and trying to pay some mind to my life and heart and grief and work and sleep and body and people,” but actually “I know that you pay a monthly membership to this page and I want you to feel that I take that seriously and I do, which is why I feel the need to say ‘I’m sorry for being away,’ when what I actually mean is ‘I’m sad that I can’t show up here in the way I want to right now.’”
So, yeah, I’m sad that I can’t show up here in the way I want to right now. There’s reasons though.
