I've shared some similar instructions in much simpler terms with my friends and family—even including a QR code to my Substack writings in our (snail mail) Christmas newsletter last year, but with little engagement. It is discouraging. Especially when our financial need is known. But I wonder what it feels like on the other side. I’ve tried to encourage engagement as a form of love/care/support, so I’m not sure why it’s such a big lift for someone. Anyway, this education helps. I may draft my own version.
